Indoor Sports Complex Planned Near Sweetwater
Sweetwater residents will have plenty of sports opportunities right at home at the community’s Sweetwater Club. The 10-acre complex will include multi-purpose sports fields and a sports court. Construction of the Sweetwater Club complex is to begin later this year.
For athletes looking for even more, there will also soon be a new indoor sports complex five minutes away, adjacent to the Backyard outdoor music venue in Bee Cave. Scheduled to open next spring, the Hill Country Indoor Complex is to have three indoor basketball courts and two indoor fields that can be used for soccer, lacrosse and flag football – all within an 80,000-square-foot, two-story building. The facility will also have an outdoor baseball field. Hill Country Indoor will host practices, recreational play and the occasional tournament.
Zoning to permit the indoor sports complex was unanimously approved by the Bee Cave City Council on May 22. More information is available from Community Impact.
