One that feels like another world so close to a bustling city. But then again, no one said the Texas Hill Country was like any place else. And lucky us, we get to sit right in the middle of it. Sweetwater is nestled among the hills, ravines, canyons and ridges that make Hill Country so spectacular—making it easy to forget that Austin is just a short drive away. (Until you go there, of course.)
Cultural events. Entertainment. Renowned restaurants. A world-class music scene. Shopping. All of it’s just a short drive away in Downtown Austin. But it’s not all hustle (or bustle). There are also lakes, state parks and more for those looking for a quieter day. And while Downtown and the surrounding area is a destination all its own, Sweetwater is also a mere 27 miles to Austin-Bergstrom International airport, putting the entire world right outside your door.
View Area MapFrom groceries to gas stations, clothing stores to coffee shops, Hill Country Galleria has everything you need, located right up the road. But perhaps the best part of living in Hill Country is the recreation. Lake Travis offers nearly 9,000 acres of boating, swimming and ziplining fun. Hamilton Pool is unlike any “pool” you’ve seen—one of the best swimming holes in the state, it’s actually a collapsed grotto (complete with a 45-foot waterfall!). There are also underwater caves, kayak-able rivers and more. In other words, block off your weekends.
See What's NearbyTurns out, you don’t need to leave Sweetwater to have an active, amazing day. We have over 700 acres of natural open space, waiting to be explored—and miles of trails that will get you there. Then there’s Sweetwater Club and Overlook Club, for those who want to relax poolside and soak in the sun (and incredible views). Should we go on? A fitness center, dog park, sports courts and fun-filled events mean there’s even more to love, right in the community. (And we haven’t even started talking about your new home yet.)
