Coventry Model Home Awarded LEED Certification
A representative of the U.S. Green Building Council today formally presented LEED certification to the Coventry Homes model home at Sweetwater.
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) designation provides independent, third-party verification that the home was designed and built using strategies aimed at achieving high performance in key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
“We are honored to receive the LEED Certification for this model home and very proud to build all of our homes going forward to the LEED for Homes standard,” Coventry Sales Manager Dennis Werner said.
All home builders at Sweetwater are required to meet nationally recognized green building standards. Coventry has selected the stringent LEED guidelines as the standard to which it will build.
As a further extension of that commitment, Coventry guarantees that its buyers’ energy bills will not exceed a predetermined level for two years after purchase.
