4 reasons your dog will love life at Sweetwater
A recent poll by Harris/Suntrust Mortgage found that Millennials are putting their dogs first when it comes to choosing a new home. Finding a new home with space inside and out for their four-legged friends ranked even higher than marriage and children among the Millennials who were surveyed.
And it’s not just Millennials. At Sweetwater, we’re seeing a huge number of families who love their dogs and want to make them feel right at home. Here are four things we’re doing to make sure Sweetwater dogs and their people always feel welcome at Sweetwater.
Sweetwater Club. The 10-acre Sweetwater Club is popular with residents of all ages, and their dogs. The event lawn and other open areas are perfect for catching and fetching. Dogs are welcome under the big covered pavilion, and the Sunset Pavilion is a great place for you both to relax and enjoy the Hill Country views (and smells).
Trails. Miles of trails at Sweetwater are heaven for dogs, traversing scenic ridges, shady canyons and natural features such as waterfalls and creeks. Along the way, you’ll find amenities like water fountains, dog waste stations, and benches for taking a break.
New homes for dogs. Sweetwater’s homebuilders are including many dog-friendly features in their new homes, including water and food bowl niches, dog-supply storage areas in oversized pantries and laundry rooms, and this awesome doggie shower in Chesmar’s Ryder model home.
A dog for your new home. If you don’t have a dog, no worries – check out Sweetwater’s partner, Austin Pets Alive! We partner with this worthy Austin group each year at our annual Wildflower Festival, but you can contact them any time of year to find a great dog who needs a loving home.
