Explore our trails: Limestone Falls Trail
At 1.23 miles long, Limestone Falls Trail is the longest trail segment in Sweetwater’s overall trail network, providing residents with year ‘round opportunities to enjoy the community’s beautiful natural Hill Country environment.
Limestone Falls Trail is also one of the most scenic trails in Sweetwater. With its moderate rating, it’s inviting for residents of all ages and abilities to explore. It can be accessed from a trailhead near the Stonecreek neighborhood, and it also bisects Canyon Trail, Sweetwater’s second-longest trail segment.
As its name promises, Limestone Falls Trail leads to a natural waterfall and pool with a limestone bottom and crystal-clear water. Picnic Rock is a popular spot to rest and enjoy the views, and perhaps have a snack or a picnic.
Limestone Falls Trail also has two bench areas along the way, for more opportunities to sit and relax, along with several water crossings.
Sweetwater’s trails will ultimately extend for roughly 10 miles when the community is completed. They are part of approximately 700 acres devoted to parks, trails, recreational amenities and natural open space in Sweetwater’s master plan.
