Meet Sweetwater’s Assistant Manager, Taylor Kelley
We’re excited to introduce you to Sweetwater’s new Assistant Manager, Taylor Kelley.
With a 10-year-old daughter and experience planning activities for a senior living community, Taylor’s background makes her an ideal fit for the diverse range of families living at Sweetwater.
Taylor was born in Virginia and moved to Central Texas with her family at the age of 10. After two decades, she feels like she’s always been a native Texan.
“When I first set foot in Texas, I expected to see tumbleweeds in the streets, and everyone riding horses,” she laughs. “I was pleasantly surprised, and I soon fell in love with Texas, especially Central Texas.”
Taylor quickly adapted to the Texas lifestyle. She became a competitive horseshoe player, and she still plays with a local association. She also loves fishing and boating.
Taylor lives on the other shore of Lake Travis with her daughter and her husband, Josh, a native Austinite.
She became interested in senior living when she volunteered at her grandmother’s nursing home in Austin. When her daughter started kindergarten, she took a position as director of life enrichment at The Delaney at Georgetown Village.
She loved that job, but after five years, felt like she was ready for a new challenge. When she found out about the Lifestyle Director position available at Sweetwater, it felt like the right opportunity.
“I was ready to grow professionally, and Sweetwater is an exciting place for me to be,” she says. “After just a month, I’m enjoying planning activities for the diverse community of residents we have here, from young families with small kids, to empty-nesters, and everyone in between.”
For 2022, Taylor is looking ahead to planning a wide variety of events that will provide residents with plenty of opportunities to come together and socialize safely, at amenities including the Sweetwater Club, the Overlook Club and others.
Please join us in welcoming Taylor to Sweetwater!
